Committee: Subcommittee on Landmarks, Public Sitings, Resiliency and Dispositions
The Subcommittee on Landmarks, Public Sitings, Resiliency and Dispositions, chaired by Council Member Christopher Marte, met in hybrid format to vote on Land Use items 64 and 65 (LU 64 and 65). The items were applications by HPD for disposition approval of city-owned property at 351 Powers Avenue in Council Member Encarnación's district, to facilitate development of a new 100% affordable eight-story mixed-use building with 83 income-restricted rental units, over 4,000 square feet of community facility space, and replacement parking for the Department of Education. Council Member Encarnación spoke in support, and the items were adopted by a voice vote and referred to the full Land Use Committee.
